Embrace a Street Child exists to reach Kenyan street children with the Gospel. Our ministry is made possible through dedicated Kenyan staff, missionaries, and directors who serve boys and families in Kenya.
Alex Krupin travelled to Kenya in 2014. After encountering street children in Kitale, the Lord put it on his heart to start a ministry that would serve the needs of street children.
That same year, a vision was born to start a centre for street children in Kitale that would be accessible to children living on the streets and that would share the love of God with them in both word and deed. Alex partnered with local missionaries in Kitale to open the centre in 2015 and registered an organization in Canada to support this work.
After Palina joined the ministry, plans were developed to open an Embrace centre in Nairobi. The Nairobi centre was opened on January 19, 2021.

The Nairobi centre opens on January 19.
The ministry began with a burden to reach street children in Kitale and continues today through the faithful work of missionaries, directors, and local staff serving together to care for boys and strengthen families.

Western Kenya
Our first centre, opened in Kitale in 2015. We reach boys living on the streets of Kitale and surrounding areas - bringing them into a safe home environment where healing and transformation can begin.
Nairobi, Kenya
Opened January 19, 2021, our Nairobi centre extends the Embrace model to Kenya's capital - one of the hardest cities for street children. The same Gospel-centred care, the same Four R's, a new city reached.
